For
many reasons, the delegation deliberately chose to produce the
report on CD instead of printing of paper. First of all, since
the report will be sent to our partners (750), and being more
than 200 pages long, it would taken 10 trees to produce it.
In a context where Sweden is a leader in sustainable development
and considering the fact that Montérégie is working
on a sustainable development reference policy, it made way more
sense to act like that.
But there
is another main advantage : considering the budget and the use
of media, the videos and hyperlinks would have been impossible,
use of colour would have been greatly reduced if produced on
paper. Using CD instead of paper in not only environnementaly-friendly:
it's also more interesting !
