The REMME participates with the:
- Women and Municipal Affairs Group supervised by the Ministry of Regional and Municipal Affairs (MAMR)
- Women and Regional Development Committee (Montérégie Est)

The REMME holds workshops with:
- The main municipal associations:
- Union des municipalités du Québec (large and middle-size cities)
- Québec’s federation of municipalities (small towns and groups of cities)
- Canadian Federation of municipalities
- The RÉMME holds an annual conference since 2000 on subjects such as sustainable development, public-private partnerships, gender equality, reputations and ethics, local and regional projects including social and economic development
The RÉMME is very proud of its results:
- 5 out of 9 women mayors heading MRC (a sub-regional division of regrouped municipalities – 96 in Québec) are in Region 16 (Montérégie)
- Percentage of women mayors is 15 % in Montérégie VS 13 % in the rest of Québec
- The level of municipalities with men-only town council has dropped by 50 % since 2003
- Many of RÉMME’s board members now head committees at the main municipal associations
- The RÉMME collaborates with the UMQ and FCM for international networking with Sénégal and Bolivia
- There is a close collaboration between the RÉMME and the regional authorities (CRÉ Montérégie Est)
- Gender Equality is one of six Montérégie Est’s core values
